I just made these earlier today and they taste so delicious! It’s not too sweet so it’s not overwhelming to eat more than one, thanks so much for the recipe! Definitely remaking again soon~ 🙂

hi Michelle,
since double boiler is not that high heat..it will take much longer than microwave.. just cook until the batter turn to sticky dough.. as you see in my video..how the rice cake texture should be.. thanks

It was denser and not as sweet as Western cakes. I also remember a sticky, sweet rice cake that had fruit (raisins, I think) mixed into it. Do you have a recipe for that? It was store bought so I never got to see it made.

hi Ayame,
Then the texture and taste will not be the same. For this food, you want sweet rice flour for chewy, soft texture. You can try it with rice flour.. I’m just telling, it will be different result. but it can be still good that way depending on your taste. Thanks 🙂
