Dumplings are delicious, but they are a lot of work to make. Imagine something that is just as delicous, but is easier and faster to make. That sounds great, right? If you are in that situtation, this recipe is what I suggest. π If you have any leftover dumpling filling, or have the ingredients to make dumplings, you can make delicious “Dumpling Filling Jeon.” I posted a garlic dumpling recipe before, so you can use that filling for this recipe. Try this someday. π
Yield: 15 Pieces
Short Korean Lesson
- GiPpeum (κΈ°μ¨) = Joy
- SeulPeum (μ¬ν) = Sorrow
Main Ingredients
- 2 Cups Leftover Dumpling Filling
- Β½-β Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Egg
- β tsp Salt
- Some Cooking Oil for Frying
Directions
Put about 2 cups of dumpling filling in a mixing bowl.
Add Β½-β cup of flour, 1 egg, and β tsp of salt. You will have to adjust the flour amount to get right consistency depending on how much liquid is in your dumpling filling.
Mix everything together and make round patties.
Place the patties in a generously oiled and heated pan. Fry them on medium-high. Once one side becomes nicely golden brown, flip it.
When both sides of the patties become golden brown, they are done.
You can serve these as a snack or side dish. You can dip them in a soy dipping sauce. To make the sauce, simply mix some soy sauce and a little bit of lemon juice or vinegar.

What a GREAT concept! I love dumplings but you are right, they take a lot of time to make. I’m looking forward to making these soon.
Do they freeze well?
Great web sight! I’m enjoying it very much. Keep Up the good work. You’re videos are very clear and to the point. You make everything look easy. Very professional. You’re script/dialogue is also very clear and to the point. Very mature. Nice non distracting music.

As I said in a previous post, I really like your web sight. The only thing I wish you could improve, is the ability to search for a specific recipe.
I first found your Seafood Jeon recipe and video. Then, at the end of the video, There was a group of pictures of other recipes that may have been similar.
I clicked on the Spinach Pancake (I think). It took me to the video of that recipe but did not leave the Seafood Jeon page. I would have liked to have seen the step by step page for the Spinach Pancakes. I tried to find it but without a Search option, I have to guess and click through the different categories and then scroll through all the recipes in that category until I find what I am looking for.
Or, am I missing something?
Thank you for the work you are doing!
